How important is Jacob’s ladder?  It was a gigantic object lesson God used to point to Jesus. 

An anonymous source has identified some interesting features of spiritual harvests:

1. The harvest God provides: "Seedtime and harvest...shall not cease" (Gen. 8:22).
2. The harvest sin produces: "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Gal. 6:7)
3. The Gospel harvest: "They (the fields) are white already to harvest" (John 4:35).
4. The harvest of judgment: "The harvest is the end of the world" (Matt. 13:39).

This Christmas, read Mary’s song and allow it to be a primer on worship. Allow it to move you to spontaneous worship. Allow it to cause your soul to magnify the Lord.

Mass shootings are happening tragically often in the United States. Death tolls mount, communities grieve, officials debate, and tempers flare. What’s to be done?

Only civilized people can produce a civilized family, village, city, or nation and make it produce good things.

Finding is all about sight; being is all about faith.

Is God a healing God? Yes–on His terms. Does He heal because we “claim” healing? No. Dare we use Isaiah 53:5 as a rabbit’s foot or magic wand? No.

Clear lines are being drawn. It is hard to accept the Christian gospel and the implications of humans having god-like control over climate change at the same time. Rejecting God is not only a lonely prospect, it’s a terrifying one. 

We simply don’t understand it all, do we? God allows health and disease for His glory. Glorify Him, then, in sickness and in health.
