Westside Baptist Church

Martinez, GA

Outreach

Westside members minister to the surrounding community in a variety of ways:

Weekend Visitation:
Saturday morning visitation at 10:30 AM is an opportunity to make hospital visits to the Westside church family and meet recent church visitors. Door to door visits are made by some, and anyone is welcome to join these who freely share the great news of grace and salvation with those they meet.

Prison Ministry: Twice a month, Westside Baptist provides spiritual encouragement and the life-changing truth of God's Word to the prisoners of Trenton Correctional Institution. The service includes singing, a flannel board story, Bible message, and wrap-up discussion session. Participants can be a part of the service, deal with prisoners who need guidance and prayer, or attend simply to show the love of Christ to broken, wounded souls. The team ministers on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.

Rescue Mission: Westside members provide a worship service at the Augusta Rescue Mission on the 4th Tuesday of each month. This gives us an opportunity to be Christ's hands and mouth to these men, binding up the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound (Isaiah 61:1). Join this ministry and show the men that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace.

Tract Ministry: We ask the Lord to burden our hearts for the souls of people we come in contact with each day. Tracts are available in the church foyer for distribution as God gives opportunities.

Good News Club: Trained volunteers from Westside meet each Tuesday afternoon at 3:40 during the school year to present a Bible Club at Martinez Elementary School. Parents give permission for their children to stay after school and be a part of the club.

Feed My Lambs: Westside provides weekend meals for needy kids. Read about it   HERE

Missions: Westside co-labors with prayer and financial support for more than 50 missionaries on foreign fields and US soil. We are continually encouraged to hear of God's work in the many harvest fields.
