Isaiah 14:12-14 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."
Ezekiel 28:14-15 “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”
Have you every wondered why such men as Voltaire, Robert Ingersoll, Thomas Paine, and Stephen Hawking would spend their lives speaking against God or trying to prove that God does not matter or exist? Or why any person who considered themselves intelligent and wise in the knowledge of the world would find it necessary to attack the existence of God whom they do not believe is real? Would that not be a complete waste of their valuable time? The reason for such attacks is actually quite simple: a person cannot be the god of his own life if he acknowledges there is already a God on the throne of the universe. And who is fanning the flames of such a desire? Satan.
Lucifer wants to replace God in the hearts, minds, and affections of the human race. In the eons past, Lucifer tried to overthrow God in Heaven and failed miserably. His desire to sit on God’s throne got him thrown out of Heaven so he now seeks to replace God in the hearts of mankind. There can only be one God. Jehovah has made that perfectly clear. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”Exodus 20:3. Satan uses men like Voltaire, Robert Ingersoll, Thomas Paine, Stephen Hawking and other so called intellectuals to try to disprove the existence of God so they will bow to him, thinking they are following their own rules and ways. But there is only one true God and neither Lucifer nor any man is him. When intellectuals, atheists, and self-appointed experts say there is no God, remember it's the temporary god of this world working his wiles to be the god of their hearts. The great deceiver's fate is sealed and he wants you also to follow him into the pit of everlasting fire and brimstone. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,” Revelations 20:10.
We must ask ourselves, who is the God that we will serve; Jehovah, Creator and Redeemer of the universe; Satan, a fallen angel destined for the Lake of Fire; or our own selves. There are no other choices. There can only be one God in your life.
